Ottawa Iaido Seminar with Stephen Cruise Sensei

The Ottawa region dojos are pleased to welcome Stephen Cruise Sensei (Kyoshi 7-Dan) to host a two day Iaido seminar.

Saturday, May 14 from 09:00-16:00

  • Takahashi Dojo (Hintonburg)

  • Street parking is available on Melrose, Wellington, and Fairmont

  • Fee $10 e-transfer to: e.chart@sympatico.ca

  • Bring your own lunch, or be prepared to walk out to nearby restaurants

Saturday Dinner

Dinner will be at Sapporo Sushi at 1671 Carling Avenue at 7:00 PM. Please let us know if you’ll be joining when signing into the seminar.

Sunday, May 15 from 09:00-14:15

  • Rideauview Community Centre (Riverside South)

  • Onsite parking is available at the community centre

  • Fee $10 e-transfer to: admin@tokushikai.ca

  • There will be a lunch run for prepackaged sushi at the nearby grocery store (reimburse via e-transfer), otherwise, bring your own lunch, or be prepared to drive out to nearby restaurants.

What to Bring

  • Please come dressed ready to practice, if possible. It may be necessary to change in the dojo if changerooms are closed. Beginners can come in workout clothes and knee pads. Experienced members should wear keiko-gi & hakama.

  • Bring your own water bottle (the community centre has a refill station) and dry snacks (no sugary drinks or foods)

  • Bring your own equipment; extra bokuto will be available for beginners
